SLAY is back!  Thanks to our incredible and hardworking team we have been able to design workshops that teach REAL THEATRICAL SKILLS! Designed and aimed for young actors SLAY gives you the opportunity to take centre stage. You will be trained and mentored by our experienced actors over the term, with plenty more to come in the near future! Vocal Development 14th May 2022  Acting 28th May 2022 Theatre Craft 11th June 2022 Musical Theatre Skills 25th June 2022 These workshops will build on skills from last term but are also great for first time attendees.  Vocal development and acting workshops will explore new areas as well as reinforce previous skills.  Theatre craft will look at the world backstage including set construction as well as lighting and sound design (or how to make the magic on stage happen).  Musical theatre skills looks at bringing it all together into a show.   Come on down and get involved! This year Stage Left Theatre is proud to present Heathers the Musical, a wickedly funny musical based on the 1980s cult hit film.   Heathers the Musical is a hilarious, heartfelt and homicidal show based on the greatest teen comedy of all time.  With it's moving love story, laugh-out-loud comedy and unflinching look at the joys and anguish of high school, Heathers will be Kalgoorlie's favourite new musical.   We are looking for anyone who loves to sing and dance or anyone keen to give it a go!  We also love help with backstage, tech, bar, costuming, set - there's something for everyone!!   Audition dates Satuday May 7 2022 12noon Sunday May 8 2022 12noon Monday May 9 2022 6.30pm Wednesday May 11 2022 6.30pm If you want to be involved but can't make these dates please Sophie Ward or Michael Mcleod or email us at admin@stageleft.org.au and we can make alternative arrangements.   **Please come along to the audition dates prepared with a song to sing acapella and wearing comfy clothing and closed in shoes (no thongs or sandals).  We will provide a short monologue to read from.  Also if you want quick refresher Heathers the movie is showing on Netflix now.

Stage Left is back with a new pantomime! Oh yes it is! With their 2021 pantomime "Rapunzel Gets Tangled"! Rapunzel is isolated in her tower, no shopping, no going out, no friends over...sound familiar?! Never fear! Help is at hand from handsome Prince Bryl and his trusty sidekick Creem, Dame Donna, two baddies gone good and, of course you the audience!  But, will the evil Mother Gotohell manage to keep Rapnzel and her magic hair in the tower while she tries to take control of the Kingdom of Bouffant???
